What does bouldering insurance cover?
Our bouldering travel insurance supports climbers heading away for a one-off trip, a bouldering holiday abroad, an international competition, or multiple trips throughout the year.
We provide protection for both travel risks and climbing-specific risks, so you’re covered from departure to descent.
Full Sports travel insurance with specialist bouldering cover including emergency medical treatment and repatriation, trip cancellation and curtailment, bouldering equipment, competition entry fees, search and rescue, and more. Built specifically for bouldering & climbing trips.
Already have travel insurance but it doesn’t include bouldering? A bolt-on for bouldering can add the protection you need while you’re climbing, you can even add it during your trip.
Our policies provide three different types of cover: Sports travel insurance, Sports accident, and Activity Top-Up. Please ensure you select the most suitable cover for your activity, when you get a quote and always review your policy documents.
Sports equipment is excluded under our bolt‑on cover.
Only a summary of the policy’s coverage is presented on this page. Please refer to policy documents for full details of what is and what is not covered, when you get a quote.
How much does bouldering insurance cost?
Medical emergencies overseas can be costly without proper cover in place, even for a short bouldering holiday.
Your bouldering premium is based on factors such as your age, where you’re travelling, how long you’re away, whether it’s a one-off trip or annual cover, the level of protection you choose, and any additional climbing equipment cover.
