What does Activity TopUp Insurance cover?

Our Activity Travel Insurance is designed to complement your existing travel insurance by providing cover for a wide range of sports and adventure activities that may not be included under a standard policy.

If you’re taking part in a one-off activity, adventure experience or sporting challenge abroad, cover can provide short-term protection for your designated activity.

Cover can include emergency medical expenses, personal liability and search & rescue costs arising from your participation in insured activities. Cancellation cover for activities is also available to the value selected.

It’s a flexible way to add specialist protection for the activities you’re planning to take part in.

Our Activity TopUp Insurance can generally be taken out even if you have a medical condition. We can almost always offer cover at no extra cost. However occasionally, special terms may apply following a claim for a medical condition for subsequent claims. Please check policy documentation for further information, which you’ll find with your quote.

Yes, the Activity TopUp provides protection in conjunction with your existing travel insurance, you will be covered whilst taking part in your sport or activity. Any claims unrelated to your sport you will need to refer to your existing travel insurance provider. You will be asked for details of your travel insurance provider on the following page, all we need to know is the name of the insurance company.

Yes. Activity TopUp can be bought before or during your trip providing you have general travel insurance in place. You can take it out for a single day or multiple days as required. Your documents will be emailed to you instantly after purchase.

Our policies will cover anyone up to the age of 74 at the time of purchase. An applicant aged 75 or over cannot be covered.
