Marketing: Content Writer

 

About the role

 

As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for a Content Writer to develop and deliver creative content with intent.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this is a new position, part of a growing marketing team, and pivotal in promoting Protectivity and increasing our organic traffic to support our customer growth objective.

This role is suitable for a copywriter with an interest in insurance and the world of SMEs, creative and result-driven, keen to experiment and passionate about making business insurance understandable.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Supporting our SEO strategy, by writing copy that helps boost a website’s search engine ranking
  • Conducting keyword and SEO research to implement to SEO-friendly content
  • Writing product page copy, supporting product content, blog posts
  • Conducting ongoing blog audit, to refresh and improve old blog content and write new SEO-oriented content in line with marketing and content plans
  • Carrying out competitor research to inform how we present our proposition
  • Supporting other copywriting requirements (not necessarily SEO-led) across other marketing channels – this may include emails or social media
  • General proofreading and copy-editing
  • Contributing to ideation brainstorms and creative sessions
 

Requirements:

 

  • Excellent English editorial copywriting skills, with published content to prove it
  • A solid understanding of SEO for content writing
  • Experience writing landing page copy to promote products, as well as supporting content
  • Experience publishing web content
  • Familiarity with Keyword Planner (and carrying out keyword research to inform topic ideation and content planning)
  • Experience using SEO tools such as SEMrush
  • Basic markup (or HTML) knowledge and the ability to pick up basic technical skills quickly
  • An analytical mindset, able to make use of Google Analytics and other tools
  • A driven self-starter with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Sales Executive – Full-time (Permanent)

Office location: Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire


Salary: Negotiable depending on experience (plus monthly and annual bonuses based on personal and company performance).

 

SportsCover Direct and its sister company Protectivity Insurance are two leading brands in the online sports, leisure and commercial insurance industry. Our vibrant and friendly business is entering its next stage of growth, with new product developments and returning markets post-lockdown, meaning it is an extremely exciting time to join our team.

 

Reporting to the Sales Operation Manager, the Sales Executive will be responsible for providing comprehensive sales and administration support. The role will include customer liaison, quoting and selling insurance policies along with various other administration duties.

 

The successful candidate will receive training and support. The company offers opportunities for progression and the chance to study NVQ’s and Insurance related qualifications via the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII). We are also happy to consider taking on an apprentice for this vacancy, who will be enrolled on an insurance related course (20% study time during working hours) and will receive on the job training.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Dealing with customers by telephone and advising them of the various insurance policies that are available.
  • Completing insurance applications on behalf of customers ensuring all key information is recorded with accuracy.
  • Updating internal systems with sales information.
  • Producing necessary documentation for new insurance policies.
  • Maintaining various customer records and handle policy renewals.
  • Responding to email and telephone enquires generated from the website.
  • Performing further business projects upon request of the Sales Operations Manager.
 

 

Requirements:

 

  • The ability to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Good telephone manner
  • Competencies in Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • The ability to learn processes quickly
  • An interest in Sport is desirable

About the role:

 

You will work in the IT team who are responsible for developing the insurance e-commerce platform and backend systems running our business. You will be involved both with maintaining and developing features for our existing systems and green-field projects as the business moves into exciting new areas.

 

You will be involved in development using Microsoft .Net, C#, SQL Server, Azure, MVC/Web API, JavaScript, VueJS

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, test and deploy solutions to our insurance platform
  • Create technical documentation
  • Working with stakeholders to gather requirements to implement new features and improve existing systems
  • Support existing deployments and troubleshoot issues
  • Participate in development team meetings, code reviews and pair programming
 

Requirements:


For the Junior role:

 

  • A-Level mathematics or equivalent
  • Adaptable and quick to pick up new skills
  • Passion for technology and solving problems
  • Excellent communication skills
 

For the Mid-Level role:

 

  • At least 3 years’ commercial experience in Microsoft .Net, C#, ASP.Net, MVC, WebAPI
  • Strong SQL Server skills
  • Good knowledge of modern HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • A working knowledge of IIS and Windows Server or Azure
  • Adaptable and quick to pick up new skills
  • Passion for technology and solving problems
  • Some experience gathering requirements and writing specifications preferred
