What does snowmobiling insurance cover?

Our snowmobiling travel insurance supports single experiences, evening rides, day tours and short guided safaris, often as an add‑on to ski holidays or winter breaks.

You’ll find cover for emergency medical & repatriation, trip cancellation & curtailment, personal accident, activity fees, search & rescue, and more.

For those with travel insurance you can add snowmobiling bolt‑on cover for the protection you need during a single session or short guided tour.

Please note: This does not insure motorised equipment or third‑party motor liability.

Make sure you select every winter sports discipline and activity you plan to take part in when getting a quote.

Our policies provide three different types of cover: Sports travel insurance, Sports accident, and Activity Top-Up. Please ensure you select the most suitable cover for your activity, when you get a quote and always review your policy documents.

Sports equipment is excluded under our bolt‑on cover.

Only a summary of the policy’s coverage is presented on this page. Please refer to policy documents for full details of what is and what is not covered, when you get a quote.

How much does snowmobiling insurance cost?

The price of your snowmobiling policy will depend on your personal and travel details, including your age, destination, trip length and the level of cover you choose (bronze, silver or gold).

Your sporting activity will also affect the cost. Snowmobiling is a motorised winter sport, so the premium reflects the additional risks associated with taking part, alongside any other winter activities you want covered.

The amount of protection you select can influence the price too, including your cancellation limits and cover for eligible winter sports equipment. Motorised equipment itself is not covered.

Review the snowmobiling price example and get a quote based on your trip dates, destination and planned activities.

Why you need snowmobiling travel insurance

Standard travel insurance can exclude snowmobiling

Speed, remote terrain and unpredictable winter conditions can make snowmobiling higher risk

Minor setbacks can become expensive

From wilderness rescue and specialist medical care, costs can escalate quickly.

Cancellations occur unexpectedly

Injuries, travel disruption and other unforeseen circumstances can contribute to cancellations.

Our experts explain why…

“Snowmobiling on variable trails and remote logistics can turn small issues into major expense without suitable protection.

Our UK‑based team is here to help get the right cover, should you need it.”
