What does wing foiling insurance cover?

Our wing foiling travel insurance supports riders heading abroad for coastal sessions, training and competitions, whether you’re finding your balance on the foil or pushing for a personal best.

A full policy combines travel protection with specialist wing foiling activity cover. This can include emergency medical treatment and repatriation, trip cancellation and curtailment, baggage, personal accident, personal liability and more.

You can also be covered for your wing, board and foil, as well as pre-paid activity or competition entry fees and search and rescue costs, helping you head out on the water with confidence.

Already have travel insurance but wing foiling is excluded? Our wing foiling travel bolt-on can add the activity protection you need, even after your trip has started.

Our policies provide three different types of cover: Sports travel insurance, Sports accident, and Activity Top-Up. Please ensure you select the most suitable cover for your activity, when you get a quote and always review your policy documents.

Sports equipment is excluded under our bolt‑on cover.

FAQs

Yes. Our wing foiling cover applies to coastal activity up to 20km offshore. Keep within this limit and follow local guidance and any other conditions in your policy.

Competition is included in our sports cover unless otherwise stated, so taking part does not automatically mean you need a higher cover level. Make sure you declare your planned activity and check any competition restrictions. Bronze, Silver and Gold provide different benefit limits, including protection for equipment and event entry fees.

Your policy can include personal liability cover of up to £2 million if you are held legally responsible for accidentally injuring someone or damaging their property while wing foiling. This can apply to incidents on the water or beach, subject to the policy’s terms and exclusions.

Our full travel insurance policy can cover accidental damage to your wing foiling equipment. Whether a claim pays towards repairs or replacement depends on the damage and the policy’s settlement terms, equipment limits and excess. Sports equipment is excluded from our Travel Bolt-on.

Your wing foiling equipment can be covered against theft when you select our full travel insurance policy, subject to your chosen equipment limit and the policy’s security requirements. Sports equipment is excluded from our Travel Bolt-on.
