Stand Up Paddleboarding Insurance

Our Sports Travel Insurance policy provides up to £5,600 worth of equipment cover as an optional add-on. This not only protects your equipment but also any gear you hire during your trip. It also covers your equipment in transit to and from your destination.

Yes, our Paddleboarding Insurance can generally be taken out even if you have a medical condition. We can almost always offer cover at no extra cost, but occasionally our underwriters may apply special terms if you subsequently needed to make a claim relating to your condition.

You can purchase our Stand Up Paddleboarding Insurance online up until 74 years old, above this age you would need to call us on 01494 484800 and we will be able to refer your quote to our underwriters. Please note, our quotes are based on your age at the start date of cover.

We are unable to provide paddleboarding insurance for waters which are grade 3 and above.

Grade 3 rivers are more technically difficult. They include distinctive waves and stoppers and sometimes even drops. Grade 3 rivers usually require individuals to paddle a certain route to avoid obstacles such as rocks along the river.

Our stand-up paddleboard insurance will provide cover for night paddleboarding if you follow other restrictions on the policy and take reasonable precautions.

Our paddleboarding insurance is only available for waters grade 2 or below. Grade 2 rivers can include waves and small stoppers which should be easy to navigate. They can also include eddies where individuals can catch their breath before moving onto the next step of rapids.

Our paddleboarding insurance provides cover for inland and coastal waters grade 2 or below providing you are within 150 kilometres of the nearest habitation unless specifically accepted by us in writing.

We can cover both group and solo activities under our paddleboarding insurance. Group policies of 5 or more receive a 5% discount and groups of 10 or more receive a 10% discount.
