What does paramotoring insurance cover?
Our paramotoring travel insurance is designed for tandem flights (as a paying or guest passenger) and students training under the supervision of a qualified instructor.
Please note: This cover does not extend to solo or independent paramotoring, where you’re flying as the pilot in command.
Choose our comprehensive travel insurance for protection that goes beyond your flight, including emergency medical expenses, repatriation, trip cancellation and curtailment, search and rescue, activity or course fees, and sports equipment cover.
If you’re only planning a single tandem flight or introductory training session, you can simply add a paramotoring activity bolt-on to your travel insurance. It’s a flexible option that can even be added after your trip has already started.
Our policies provide three different types of cover: Sports travel insurance, Sports accident, and Activity Top-Up. Please ensure you select the most suitable cover for your activity, when you get a quote and always review your policy documents.
Sports equipment is excluded under our bolt‑on cover.
Only a summary of the policy’s coverage is presented on this page. Please refer to policy documents for full details of what is and what is not covered, when you get a quote.
How much does paramotoring insurance cost?
The cost of paramotoring travel insurance will depend on a few factors, including your age, destination, and the length of your trip. Your premium may also vary based on whether you’re taking a tandem flight or a training course, the level of protection you choose, and if you’d like cover for your own equipment.
While cost is important, it’s also worth considering the potential expense of overseas medical treatment, emergency recovery, or losing the money you’ve invested in pre-booked flights or training if something unexpected happens.

FAQs
Yes, our Paramotoring Travel Insurance can generally be taken out even if you have a medical condition. We can almost always offer cover at no extra cost, but occasionally our underwriters may apply special terms if you subsequently needed to make a claim relating to your condition.
Standard travel insurance policies do not normally cover hazardous activities. Our Sports Travel Insurance is specifically designed to cover over 500 high risk activities such as bungee jumping, skateboarding, ski-acrobatics and many more.
Our policies will cover anyone up to the age of 74 at the time of purchase. An applicant aged 75 or over cannot be covered.
Our Sports Travel Insurance policy provides up to £5,600 worth of equipment cover as an optional add-on. This not only protects your own equipment, but also any gear you hire during your trip. It also covers your paramotoring equipment in transit to and from your destination.
