Understanding how our Golf Insurance policy differs
Whilst most of our competitors provide cover for your golf equipment within their Golf Insurance policy, very few (if any) will protect it 24/7, seven days a week as standard, as our policy does. Those that do may change extra for this area of cover.
Some of our competitors will only protect your equipment should it get lost, damaged or stolen whilst in transit to and from the golf course, and whilst playing. This means that it will not be protected should any of those three incidents occur whilst your clubs are safely stored at home, or in your car overnight.
Our Golf Insurance protects your equipment 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with the following benefits:
- We will pay the cost of restoring, repairing or replacing golf clubs, single-seater buggies, balls, bags, trolleys, GPS equipment, specific golf clothing, footwear and range finders owned by you following accidental loss, accidental damage or theft.
- We will recompense you for your lost or damaged clubs and/or equipment at their current market value regardless of age, without any deductions for wear and tear, as long as you have proof of purchase. This also applies to golf clubs that have been tailor fitted.
- The policy includes cover whilst in transit to another country providing that in the case of loss, theft or damage you report it to, and obtain evidence from, the carrier.
- Golf Equipment will be covered as long as it is locked out of sight in either a vehicle or a secure building – this can be at your home or at the golf club.

A year is a long time, and we can’t make any guarantees, but in all the time that we have been selling golf insurance, we have never charged renewing customers more than new customers for a like-for-like policy. We don’t foresee that changing!
Under our Golf policy you would be covered for claims made against you for injury caused to another person or for damage to their property, under the Personal Liability section of the policy when driving either a single seater or double seater buggy.
With regards to your buggy itself, we can only cover for damage or theft relating to a single seater buggy that belongs to you. We would not be able to cover damage or theft of your double seater buggy, and we will not cover the cost of damage or theft of any buggy that is hired or loaned to you.
